Welfare
The purpose of welfare in school is to enhance the capacity to support students who are at risk of disengagement from school and who are not achieving their educational potential. The Initiative complements and extends existing programs that enhance student engagement, retention, academic achievement and the acquisition of life skills. Welfare is undertaken by all staff who take a whole school approach for effective education.
