DESCRIPTION

In Drama and Dance students will explore a range of works created by others, and create and perform their own work.

Students are encouraged to work positively and productively in a variety or group structures, and to explore ideas and feelings through activities, games, acting, improvisation and choreography.

 

FOCUS

Drama and Dance games and warm ups. Interpretation of scripts and choreography. Acting and creating characters. Stage craft, focusing on costumes, props and make-up.

Rehearsal and refinement of their own work and the work of others.

Performances using a variety of Genres/Styles. Analysis and evaluation of their own work and the work of others and looking at how Drama and Dance are created and promoted.
