DESCRIPTION

Music Technology is an elective designed for the music performer and non-performer who is interested in the technical side of the music industry.

 

FOCUS

Students learn and practice skills in the setting-up of a wide range of Public Address Systems (PA).

They will:

• Record music using microphones, hand held recorders and the recording desk.

• Develop compositions and creating digital movies to accompany these compositions.

• Learn to do basic DJ work (optional) and have the option of staging a musical event.

• Explore aspects of the Music Industry.
