DESCRIPTION

Photography, Film Media is a hands-on subject where students create media products and look at aspects of the mass media. Digital photograph, film making and print media are the 3 significant areas of student production.

 

FOCUS

Students will develop their skills in the production phases of the following.

• Photography: students take photographs using a digital camera and enhance and or manipulate them using photo software such as photoshop. We also ‘see’ what it takes to make you a better photographer.

• Film: students undertake film projects where storytelling and camera techniques are combined to produce short films that have been edited and ‘produced’ using movie making software.

• Print: students explore aspects of design, layout and image to create a print production such as the cover for a magazine.

• Mass Media: Media impacts on our lives, students look at aspects of the mass media and we also take a close look at film production.
