DESCRIPTION

Students will study events that contributed to Australia’s social, political and cultural development from the perspective of women.

 

FOCUS

Students will analyse significant historical events for women such as European settlement, the early pioneers, the Eureka rebellion, Federation and the campaigns for women to gain the right to vote.

Women’s contributions during WWI and WWII are assessed and events leading up to the feminist movement and equal opportunity are analysed.
