WHAT WILL STUDENTS LEARN?

The students will gain skills and knowledge in the use of tools and equipment in the automotive and engineering workshop by working with a variety of materials and engines and other automotive related articles.

Basic engineering and metal working skills will also be learnt using safe working skills.

 

HOW WILL STUDENTS LEARN?

Students will learn a variety of skills and techniques while using a range of materials or articles to produce practical projects through teacher/student negotiation.

Students will learn individually and in groups by participating in class discussion, theoretical and hands on work, investigating and working with tools, equipment and machines to repair or manufacture articles using related hand tools, machinery and processes.

 

HOW WILL STUDENTS BE ASSESSED?

Assessment will be based on participation and skills gained:

• Work Folio and log book

• Skills tests/safe work practices

• Project work

• Self assessment sheets

• Team work
