WHAT WILL STUDENTS LEARN?
Students will learn:

to improve their basic swimming techniques

Students will learn the requirements for the Surf Lifesaving Bronze Medallion:

Basic First Aid

Resuscitation and CPR

Emergency Management

Using rescue equipment

Surf Safety - Understanding the ocean’s movements and swimming safely in the ocean

HOW WILL STUDENTS LEARN?
Students will learn through a range of practical and theoretical experiences.
They will attend classroom lessons, pool lessons and on-‐site lessons at the Wye River Surf Lifesaving Club. Students will be expected to attend at least one weekend camp and a six day Bronze Medallion Camp in Term 4.
HOW WILL STUDENTS BE ASSESSED?
Students will be assessed in a variety of practical and theoretical tests, culminating in the Surf Bronze Medallion examination run by Surf Lifesaving Victoria.
