Through our Arts program, students:

• Develop their intellectual, imaginative and expressive potential through the arts

• Develop skills, techniques and knowledge of processes as a basis for personal expression

• Create or present art works

• Develop critical skills and an understanding of how the arts evolve within particular social, cultural and historical contexts

• Enjoy participating in the processes of creating, presenting and responding to the arts

Students will produce a folio of artwork that will be assessed throughout the semester. They will have a Visual Arts diary for assessment that will contain a record of their design processes, handouts on the various topics and homework. A number of written projects will be completed on artists and techniques. Some of this work will be presented using ICT such as Illustrator and Photoshop.
