SIS20213 Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation

 

Description:

Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation provides students with the knowledge and skills to be competent in performing core skills in outdoor recreation environments and assisting with the conduct of a range of outdoor activities. Units in the program include assisting in conducting outdoor recreation sessions, responding to emergency situations and working effectively in sport and recreation environments. Electives can be chosen from a range of streams including surfing, snorkelling, bushwalking and camping.

 

Contribution towards the VCE:

Up to three units at Units 1 and 2.

 

Contribution towards the VCAL:

Contribution to VCAL is determined by the number of units successfully completed. When a student has been assessed as competent in units totalling 100 nominal hours, this will contribute to one VCAL unit. This program will satisfy learning outcomes for Industry Specific Skills or Work Related Skills strands at Foundation and Intermediate levels.
