Victorian Schools Netball Championships

On Tuesday, August 29, three Netball teams travelled to Geelong for the Victorian Schools Championships.

Although our teams were not successful on the day, each and every team member showed a great amount of team spirit and respect for each other and totally enjoyed the whole day.

After tryouts and many weeks of training the following girls represented Colac Secondary College:

Year 7/8 team (played 5 games): Ebony Armistead, Mikhaela Rowarth, Peggy McGee, Dakodah Nowell, Monica Smart, Kara Tyrer, Hailey Ladhams and Pheonix Smith. Coached by Kat Featherstone

Year 9/10 team (played 5 games): Amber Skurka, Brooke Hawkins, Hayley Farnes, Shakia Pearce, Caitlyn Guy, Shanae O’Donoghue, Emily Sproules, Sharni Barry and Dana Lucas. Coached by Clare Neal.

Senior team (played 7 games): Jamisyn Holt, Keely Holt, Claudia Wisbey, Elicia Conway, Tayla Robertson, Sophie Bolton and Abbey Hall. Coached by our Deakin Uni student teachers Miah and Hamish with help from Mr Treweek.

Thank you to our Umpires for the day Claudia McLaren and Georgia Robinson

Also a huge thank you to Nat Simmonds from Bank of Melbourne and Tim Hassett from Sporting Club Assist for our new Netball dresses, they looked amazing on the day.
