Nikita Riches wins 2nd place at the Colac Gun Club Clay Target Shooting Competition

On April 26th Colac Secondary College students enjoyed a great day of training and competition at the Colac Gun Club range. Our students were involved in the interschool clay target shooting competition hosted by the Colac Gun Club. Students from Yr 8 – Yr 11 mixed and competed with other schools from across the region whilst honing their skills in Gun Handling and Firearm Safety.

Congratulations to Nikita Riches who achieved 2nd place in the Senior Girls event. Todd Nelson drew for 2nd place in the Junior Boys event but after a shoot off he came 4th. A huge thanks to Holts Gun Shop for their continued support of our club and for sponsoring the event. We would also like to thank Terry Woodcroft from Victoria Police as well as Terry McCrickard and Geoff O’Dywer from Colac Field and Game for all their efforts with training our club members earlier in the week. Of course special thanks to The Colac Gun Club for hosting the event.
