Year 7 Science: Melba Gully Ecosystems Tour

On Thursday May 31st, students in Year 7 visited Melba Gully in the Otways to complete a unit of work about Ecosystems. Apollo Bay Parks Victoria provided two rangers to take the students on a short bush walk and provide them with insights to local flora and fauna.

An enthused student, Matthew Claridge took some beautiful photos on the walk.

Below he describes his passion for photography:

I got into photography when I was 3 when I got my first camera, it was a blue Fisher Price kid-tough digital camera. I mostly took silly pictures like for instance a picture of one of my books….. upside down. I had that camera until 2012 when I got a hand me down from Mum and Dad. I basically did the same thing until 2014 when I went to Kangaroo Island and the photography bug hit me. Fast forward to January 2016, I had just spent 8 months in Holland and had gone without a birthday present and I walked into my room to find a small package on my table. I unwrapped it and found a Fuji Film camera recommended by my Uncle. To this day I still use this camera.
