VET / SBA Handbooks
Vocational Education and Training (VET) refers to enhanced senior school studies, which enables a secondary student to combine their senior school studies with vocational training. VET is a vocationally-oriented school program designed to meet the needs of industry, focusing on students developing industry-specific workplace skills.
VET is a two-year program combining senior school studies and accredited vocational education and training. It enables students to complete a nationally-recognised vocational qualification (e.g. Certificate II in Hospitality) and a senior school certificate (VCE/VCE-VM, VPC) at the same time. Students can proceed directly into employment or receive credit towards further vocational training at TAFE.
Colac Secondary College does not currently offer any Vocational Education and Training (VET) subjects. The VET programs undertaken by our students are sourced from other providers.
