DAFFODIL DAY – THURSDAY 20TH AUGUST
This term, our Student Representative Council (SRC) is proud to support Daffodil Day on Thursday 20th August, in partnership with the Cancer Council.
Daffodil Day raises awareness of the impact of cancer while also funding vital cancer research, prevention programs and support services.
At our recent whole school assembly, SRC member Sally Pearson spoke about the significant impact cancer has on our community and shared her family’s personal experience, with her father currently living with stage 4 terminal bowel cancer. We were also honoured to welcome Sara Hay from the Frank Minchinton Centre at Colac Area Health as our special guest. Sara spoke about the impact cancer has on our local community and the incredible work she and her team have done to make cancer treatments and support services more accessible for people in the Colac region.
To support this important cause, CSC will be holding a BBQ at lunchtime on Thursday 20th August. Students can enjoy a sausage for a gold coin donation and are encouraged to wear a touch of yellow to show their support. Yellow hair ribbons will also be available on the day.
If you would like to make an additional contribution, we invite you to donate through our official Cancer Council fundraising page. Every donation, no matter the size, helps fund life-saving research and support those affected by cancer.
Thank you for your generosity and support of this important cause.
