- Reading
Organisation is one of the most important parts of the AVID Program. Management of time, energy and learning to set priorities can make the difference between success and failure at school, in further education and in the workplace. Students much learn to plan effectively for academic assignments, organising information and ideas for assessments and projects.
Consistent with the focus on promoting ‘individual determination,’ AVID provides support for the organisation of materials, assignments, assessment, handouts and notes.
The AVID Binder is the central strategy in supporting students to developed this hugely important skill. In 2023, all students 7-12 will be required to have an AVID Binder and take responsibility for its upkeep.
