Involvement in the Dance Academy gives students the option to participate in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, in which Colac Secondary College have participated since the early 2000’s. The State Schools Spectacular is a professionally staged production performed at Melbourne Park to audiences of over 10,000 people with a cast of almost 3000 government school students. The aim of the State School Spectacular is to offer an invaluable performing arts opportunity to Victoria’s government school students and to showcase the talent that exists in schools with a 2-3 hour scripted show celebrating diversity of performance mediums, including choir, dance, vocal, drama and orchestra.
