The Men's Project

Colac Secondary College, together with the Colac Otway Shire Council, VicHealth and Jesuit Social Services' The Men's Project, invite you to hear more about Modelling Respect and Equality (MoRE).

MoRE is an innovative program that aims to explore and develop a shared understanding of what it means to be a positive male role model in the Colac Otway community. We are recruiting local leaders, industry figures and community members whose roles, community involvement and responsibilities enable them to have a positive impact on the lives of men, boys and young people in the Colac Otway region.

We invite expressions of interest from members of all parts of our community, and from many different kinds of personal experience. We hope that local employers will recognise the value of the program for their businesses, and support employee involvement.

The program is free of cost for all participants, but involves a time commitment. The initial workshop is a two-day course held on Monday-Tuesday, 13-14 February 2023. Thereafter, participants will commit two hours per week to the program over four months; this time will comprise 3 x 90-minute Community of Practice sessions online; sharing thoughts with your local MoRE network; and individual or group work on personal/shared action plans for how to create positive impact on men, boys and young people through your club, school, workplace, group or organisation.

We are excited to be part of this innovative project, we invite your Expression of Interest, and we look forward to working with you in the future.
