Description:

A great starter Certificate in the Beauty Industry. The COE's SHB20116 Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics has also had a name change and wel- comed some new units.
Students will learn advice on health and beauty services, which products to recommend and how to communicate as part of a salon/spa team. This course deals extensively with the art of sales and visual merchandising. With the added Cosmetic Tanning Products unit to our active components, there is also the favourite unit of Designing and Applying Make-up. A great Certificate for those wishing to work in the retail world of cosmetics or a step into our Beauty Therapy Accredited Certificates. 

 

Contribution towards the VCE:

Up to five units: three units at Units 1 and 2, and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.

 

ATAR Contribution:

A scored assessment is provided for all students who complete the second year.

 

Contribution towards the VCAL:

Contribution to VCAL is determined by the number of units successfully completed. When a student has been assessed as competent in units totaling 100 nominal hours, this will contribute to one VCAL unit. This program will satisfy learning outcomes for Industry Specific Skills or Work Related Skills strands at Foundation, Intermediate or Senior levels.
