CERTIFICATE II - BUILDING

 

22216VIC Certificate II in Building and Construction - Carpentry

 

Description:

This VET study provides students with the knowledge and skills to enhance their employment prospects in

the building and construction industry. Common units in the pre-apprenticeship include safe handling of plant and power tools, quality principles for the building industry, calculations, work place documents, plans and occupational health and safety procedures within the industry.

 

Contribution towards the VCE:

You will be eligible for credit of up to four VCE VET units towards their VCE: two units at Unit 1-2 level and a Unit 3-4 sequence.

 

ATAR Contribution:

Students who receive a Units 3 and 4 sequence for the VCE VET Building and Construction program will be eligible for an increment towards their ATAR (10% of the average of the primary four scaled studies).

 

Contribution towards the VCAL:

The VCE VET Building and Construction program (either partial or full completion) may contribute at the Foundation, Intermediate or Senior levels.

 

Approximate Costs:             

$390 – Materials, Books, etc  (1st year)

$215 – Materials, Books, etc  (2nd year)
$150 – Protective Clothing
