YEAR 10 & 11 AG HORT FARM VISIT

Monday 29th May, Year 10 and 11 Ag Hort students visited Mark Billing and Sam Simpson at Craiglands partnership. This was to solidify the learning for each group.

Year 11’s headed to the paddocks to learn about grazing management and the Year 10s headed to the calf shed to learn about the calf rearing journey at Craiglands. After this they headed to TTMI Machinery to look at the brand-new tractors and equipment and even got to sit in a few! Jacinta Langdon from WestVic Dairy gave a presentation on the value of dairying to our region and the variety of careers that the dairy industry can offer. It was a great day had by all and a big thankyou to Ms Bannan for joining us, Craiglands for hosting us, TTMI for letting us climb through their tractors and WestVic Dairy for the presentation. This day was made possible through the Secondary Schools Ag Fund.
