DESCRIPTION

Art is a hands-on subject where students are challenged to use their imagination and develop skills using a variety of media. The artworks created by students will reflect a variety of artistic styles from realistic through to abstract. Students will also be encouraged to develop a personal style that reflects their interest in the visual arts.

 

FOCUS

Students will build upon their previous visual art experience and create artwork using a variety of methods such as:

• Drawing

• Painting       

• Printing       

• Stencilling          

• Collage      

• Clay Modelling

 

Some tasks are teacher directed while others will allow students to investigate and trial their specific areas of interest. Throughout the semester students will look at artists and their artworks.
