WHAT WILL STUDENTS LEARN?

In this unit, students learn a variety of dance routines. This unit focuses on the refinement of performances. Students will be involved in creating and taking dance warm-­‐ups and creating and performing dance routines. Students explore dance through improvised movement, design and shape. They identify choreographic form and choreograph dance pieces. They stage a performance and perform to audiences.

 

HOW WILL STUDENTS LEARN?

Students will learn through a variety of approaches such as dance, research, choreography and performance.

 

HOW WILL STUDENTS BE ASSESSED?

Assessment is based on written responses, ability to choreograph and overall performance. Assessment tasks to be used:
