WHAT WILL STUDENTS LEARN?

Students will learn about the roles involved in sporting structures, competition formats and the variety of characteristics and qualities that develop and support leadership.

 

HOW WILL STUDENT LEARN?

Through an involvement in a number of physical activities and sports students will experience and observe a range of aspects associated with leadership and team work.

They will have the opportunity to lead groups in different formats whilst experiencing a variety of sports and recreational activities. Students will continue to develop fundamental skills in a range of sports.

 

HOW WILL STUDENTS BE ASSESSED?

Student participation and involvement are key elements of assessment.

They will demonstrate their understanding through peer teaching, planning a competition and/or recreational event within the class and may run a tournament in a chosen sporting field.
